This Indenture made and entered into this twenty eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine, between William Wallace and Eliza Ann, his wife, of the County of Edgar and State of Illinois of the first part and John Wallace of the county and state aforesaid of the other part . Witnesseth that the said William Wallace and Eliza Ann his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars current money of the United States, to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing or delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and have granted, bargained, and sold aliened, released, - - - - , conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell alien, release, - - - - ,convey and confirm, unto the said John Wallace, to his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land with all the appertenances thereon lying and being in the County of Edgar and State of Illinois to wit : The North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section No. Seven in Township No. Fifteen , North of Range No. Ten West containing thirty two acres and sixty six hundredths be the same more or less, together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging , or in any wise appertaining , to have and to hold the above premises unto the said John Wallace, his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Wallace and Eliza Ann Warrant the aforesaid premises unto the said John Wallace his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever do will and warrant and forever defend by these presents . In Testimony whereof the said William Wallace and Eliza Ann his wife of the first have hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year first above written.

Be it remembered that the within named William Wallace and Eliza Ann his wife came this day personally before me, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County and acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed of conveyance as their free act and deed for the uses and purposes therein specified. And the said Eliza Ann having been made fully acquainted with the contents of said Indenture and by me examined separate and apart from her husband acknowledged the Execution thereof as her voluntary act and deed without any compultion of her said husband. Given under my hand and seal this 26th day of November AD 1849.
