This page is dedicated to those many individuals who have served their country throughout the centuries. Our family members have seen service in the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, The Blackhawk War, Civil War (Union and Confederate), Spanish American War and World War I. We are, of course, well represented in the Twentieth Century conflicts. We shall list the conflict and the individuals involved, adding more as that information is passed along to us.

Stephen Mallet,III...Pvt....Captain James Gunn's Company, Virginia Militia, Mecklen- burg County. (Stephen Mallet,III was the son of Olive Magdalene Sallee and Stephen Mallet, Jr.)



Revolutionary War



Oliver Wallace....Private....8th Virginia Regiment....1780 to surrender at Yorktown.
Jacob Yeast....Private....4th Co,7th Reg't.Maryland Line.... Served the entire duration of the war.



Indian Wars (1793)



William Sallee...Pvt......Col. Horatio Hall's Regiment of Mounted Volunteers. (Wm. Sallee is also listed under the War of 1812)



War of 1812



Reynard Chastain Sallee...Private....Capt. McAfee's Co., Slaughter's Regiment, Ky. Detached Militia. Took part in the Battle of New Orleans.
Jacob Yeast, Jr.....Private....Capt. McAfee's Co., Slaughter's Regiment, Ky. Detached Militia. Battle of New Orleans.
George Sallee.......Private....Capt. Benjamin Graves' Co. of Riflemen 23rd Regiment, Virginia Militia, attached to 1 Corps d'Elite.
Jacob Sallee........Private....Capt. James Armstrong's Company, 4th Regiment, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia.
Edward Sallee.......Sergeant...Capt.Mason Singleton's Company, 1st Regiment Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia. Took part in the Battle of the Thames.
William Sallee......Ensign.....Capt. Thomas Lewis' Company of Infantry, 13th Regiment Kentucky Volunteers. Taken prisoner by the British in 1814 and later paroled.
William J. Sallee...Private....Capt. Thomas Dollarhide's Company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia. Commanding Battalion Officer was Major Renick, and later Major General Hopkins.
Pleasant Bartley Sallee...Pvt..Capt. John Morgan's Company, 2nd Regiment of Virginia Militia.
